11月3日下午，外教Mike在龚帆元主任与陈姗姗老师陪同下，一同前往宁德师范学院附小，一起协助外语系英语师范类实习生组织周四下午的英语社团活动。外教的到来让社团学生尤为激动兴奋，纷纷与Mike招呼致意。本次社团主题体现出浓厚的英语国家文化，旨在让学生在趣味活动中学习英语，感受英语学习的乐趣。外语系实习生也为此做了充分的准备。

社团课主要分为五个环节，首先，外语系实习生邀请一些学生上台戴上眼罩摸水果，然后让学生们根据水果的形状进行猜测。全班学生积极配合实习老师，跃跃欲试。转而实习教师引导学生们复习水果的单复数的表达形式。在第三个环节，实习老师们邀请学生品尝水果，并对水果的味道进行描述，全班热情高涨。活动进行到第四个环节，也是此次课程的高潮处，外教Mike配合实习老师对水果沙拉的制作步骤进行一一详细的演示，底下学生也积极上台参与。在最后环节中，Mike先以简单的招呼开场，然后进行授课。学生们踊跃举手回答问题。

最后实习老师与孩子们对外语系外教Mike的到来再次表示感谢。外语系实习生们以高度的热情与入微的细心圆满完成了此次英语社团活动，学生们十分积极配合。此次英语社团活动体现出外语系对实习工作的重视和大力支持。

Foreign Teacher Mike Helped Intern Students to Organize English Corner

Activities

     In the afternoon of November 3, 2016, Mike, our foreign language teacher, came to the English Corner of Ningde Normal University Elementary School. The pupils in the English Corner showed their warmest welcome to Mike for his coming. And the teaching theme of English Corner was “Making Fruit Salad”. The intern teachers made careful preparations before class.

  And the teaching was mainly divided into five parts. In the beginning of class, our teachers invited some students to play the fruit guessing game. Students touched the fruits and guessed what the fruit was. Whole class took positive attitude in playing this game. In the following process, teachers taught students the singular and plural forms of the fruits, like the grape and grapes. Overall, students did quite well in the learning. In the third part, students closed their eyes and then tasted some fruits to describe the fruit, so during this process, they learned some new adjectives-sweet, sour, delicious and so on. In the fourth part, Mike helped our intern teachers to explain the making process of fruit salad, that was fruits preparing, fruits washing, fruits cutting, salad adding, fruits mixing and fruits salad tasting. Finally, Mike introduced himself to students, like his hometown and his traveling experience. Whole class students were excited when they talked with Mike.

  The intern students took active attitude in organizing the activities of English Corner. And meanwhile, they learned much with the help of the teachers in the Foreign Languages Department.
