2013年7月1日是难忘的一天，在龚帆元教授的带领下，我与宁德师范学院外语系的同仁一同前往澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学进行TESOL短期培训。短暂的学习观摩一晃而过，但给我们的启发却是巨大的。Christ和Doug教授严谨而又风趣的教学给我留下了深刻的印象。可以看出他们的博学智慧是在日积月累，坚持不懈的基础上慢慢养成的。先进的教学理念给与了我们一双更锐利的眼睛，让我们教师得以从一个更高的高度来审视我们的课堂教学。短暂的学习观摩拓宽了我们的视野，也让我们更了解澳洲的风土人情，同时澳洲的蓝天大海，小城沙滩也从此镌刻在我们心房，召唤我们向前行。
July 1, 2013 was an unforgettable day. Under the guidance of Professor Gong, I, together with the other colleagues from Ningde Normal University, went to University of Newcastle in Australia on the short term TESOL training program. In a blink of eyes, we are back now in China. However, what we gained far exceeded what we imagined we could acquire from this 21-day foreign tour. What impressed me most was the profundity and wisdom of Professor Christo and Professor Doug. Although their classes were informative and somewhat obscure, I found a kind of unexpected enjoyment in the professors’s classes, for they appeared sometimes more like a human not unlike us than a teacher lecturing on the platform. It was this humanity and warmth that drew me closer to the English courses they offered and the Australian culture as well.
